Guidelines for our loans

• All loans are subject to status and applicants MUST be 18 or over. Security is required and as such you may wish to consider life cover
• For loans over 90% of the purchase price or valuation, a Higher Lending Charge may be payable

• If you are not happy with any aspect of our service, please request a copy of our internal complaint handling procedures
• Our aim is to resolve complaints to the satisfaction of our customers. However, in the unlikely event that you disagree with the decision we have made, you can refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service. The Banking Code

We are fully committed to the aims of the Banking Code whose governing principles are to:

• Treat customers fairly and reasonably
• Help customers understand how their accounts operate and give them a better understanding of banking services
• Maintain confidence in the security and integrity of banks.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme

• If you make a valid claim against Clydesdale Bank PLC in respect of any credit balances, insurance, mortgage or investment held with us or which we arrange for you and we are unable to meet our liabilities in full, you may be entitled to compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)
• Compensation depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.  In respect of mortgage advice and arranging covered by the Scheme, claims are restricted to business conducted on or after 31 October 2004 and are limited to 100% of the first £30,000 of the claim and 90% of the next £20,000, resulting in a maximum payment of £48,000.
